From a kid of 4 who sold Burpee Seeds door to door, to the “The Cone Ranger,” who introduced Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to New York, to his present seat looking over New York’s beloved Heartland Brewery, Jon Bloostein is first and foremost an innovator.
NEW YORK-Jon Bloostein, a former investment banker, has opened the Heartland Brewery, a spacious micro-brewery and restaurant in Manhattan’s Union Square area. The restaurant will feature hand-crafted beer and an American eclectic menu
George Washington was a devout beer lover. In particular, he was fond of the dark, English-style brew known as porter, and always demanded that an ample supply of it be kept on hand at Mount Vernon, his Virginia estate.
Over priced. Food was decent but expensive for what you get. Great ambiance and a clean restaurant (as well as the bathroom) Service was good, beer was decent. If the prices were lower and the beer better I'd rate 4 stars. I would eat here again, just not with my whole family. On a side note this is a good place for kids, but pricey. $11 for a kids meal. Oh did I say it's expensive.
We were here last year in May (May 2016)
