Jon Bloostein, founder & CEO of …., takes his farm to table personally. Last year heartland introduced produce grown and harvested by Jon himself from his farm in upstate NY. This spring he’s excited to be bringing back some delicious and highly coveted ramps. Ramps are sometimes referred to as spring onion, wool leeks, or wild garlic. They’re a mix of onion & garlic. They only grow for a very limited time in the spring and they grow very deep & strong roots which make them very hard to harvest.
